Vestas will supply 66 turbines totalling 228MW to SSE’s Stronelairg wind farm in the Scottish Highlands.
The deal, first reported in subscriber only newsletter reNEWS in October, consists of the supply, installation and commissioning of 53 V117 and 13 V112 3.45MW turbines.
The tip heights of the V117 machines will be 135 metres, while the V112 hardware will be 125 metres high.
Delivery of the first turbines is planned for the third quarter of 2017, with commissioning expected to be complete by 2018.
The contract also includes a 20-year active output management 4000 full scope operations and maintenance agreement.
