The first turbine components have arrived on site at SSE’s 228MW Stronelairg wind farm near Fort Augustus in the Great Glen, Scotland.
The project will consist of Vestas hardware – 53 V117 and 13 V112 3.45MW turbines.
The tip heights of the V117 machines will be 135 metres, while the V112 hardware will be 125 metres high.
The wind farm is expected to be fully operational in the summer of 2019.
