Trianel is seeking insurance for the operational phase of the 200MW Borkum West 2.1 offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The combined property and business interruption risk insurance will also include foundations, offshore substation and all inter-array cables at the wind farm, which features 40 5MW Areva (now Adwen) turbines.
The tender invitation covers insurance for the operational phase for at least one full calendar year, followed by automatic renewal.
Trianel expects the total insurance to be €880m plus an escalation clause and some further costs.
The deadline for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 4pm local time on 7 October.
