Trianel Windpark Borkum has issued a tender for preventative work to replace any defective array cables at an offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
Trianel Windpark Borkum has built the operational 200MW Borkum West 2.1 project and will complete the 200MW 2.2 facility next year.
The tender calls for the replacement of defective array cables between turbines and/or the offshore substation that may arise during the term of the deal.
The provision of any required vessels, equipment, personnel and project execution documentation is included.
The contract will also cover any port-related cable handling activities, cable testing and termination works as well as the provision of spare parts.
The work will run from 1 July 2020 to the end of December 2025 and is subject to renewal, possibly for up to another five years.
Interested parties have until midday local time on 24 January to apply.
