Marine and Towage Services (MTS) Group has completed ‘as built’ survey works as part of marine cable installation activity conducted by contractor James Fisher at the Wave Hub site off the Cornwall coast.
The UK outfit deployed its survey vessel, MTS Xplorer to carry out a high resolution multibeam survey of the cables.
It was employed on the project by Insight Marine Projects as part of a sub-contract with the principal contractor James Fisher Marine Services.
Wave Hub provides a dedicated testing location for offshore renewable energy technology, with purpose built transmission infrastructure enabling installed devices to export to the grid.
MTS said cabling work has now been completed with a further six kilometres of cabling, connectors, cable abrasion protection and rock bag stabilisation installed.
