Siemens has been selected to provide upgraded SCADA systems on operational Dong Energy offshore wind farms.
The turbine manufacturer will install hardware and carry out associated services “necessary for upgrading the existing central infrastructure control system”.
The new systems will replace SCADA kit originally supplied with the offshore turbines.
The value of the contract is Dkr3.45m. Work will cover central software packages, servers and gateways. Upgrade of peripheral kit is not included in the deal.
Siemens was awarded the deal without prior publication of a contract notice.
