Trianel has completed the 4.8MW Jeckenbach wind farm in Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany.
The project consists of two 199-metre high Nordex N117/2400 turbines.
It is the first wind farm in Trianel Erneuerbare Energien’s portfolio, adding to two 10MW solar parks in Brandenburg.
Trianel Erneuerbare Energien, a subsidiary of Trianel consisting of 40 municipal utilities and regional energy suppliers, was set up in August 2015.
It plans to create a renewable energy portfolio totalling 275MW by 2018.
Trianel said 25MW is now operational with the other 150MW at “various stages of development”.
