Trianel Erneuerbare Energien has acquired three turbines totalling over 10MW at the Emmerthal wind farm in Lower Saxony, Germany, from Ebert Renewable Energy for an undisclosed price.
In total, Emmerthal consists of eight Vestas 136-3.45 machines, with the three units bought by Trianel Erneuerbare Energien totalling 10.35MW.
The wind farm is located in the district of Hameln-Pyrmont, about 40km southwest of Hanover, and has been operational since 2018.
Trianel Erneuerbare Energien expects the purchased turbines to generate 21 million kilowatt-hours a year.
Trianel Erneuerbare Energien comprises 37 municipal utilities and Trianel.
Together they are investing around half a billion euros in the development and expansion of their renewable portfolio, which is currently about 200MW.
