VBMS has completed inter-array cable installation and burial for Vattenfall’s 288MW Sandbank offshore wind farm in the German Bight.
The Dutch outfit said a total of 76 inter-array cables were installed and buried in two-and–a-half months.
VBMS deployed its multipurpose vessels Ndurance and Ndeavor to carry out the installation and placement of messenger wires, cable burial, cable connection and cable testing works.
The company said it also utilised its in-house post-lay burial ROV 107-1100.
Cable connection and testing works are expected to be wrapped up by the end of July, which will complete VBMS’s work at Sandbank.
VBMS project manager Ruud Kromwijk said: “By accommodating all personnel working on the towers onboard the Ndurance and the Ndeavor, we minimised transfer times which contributed to maximum efficiency in execution of the works.”
