Broadwind Towers, a subsidiary of Broadwind Energy, has signed a $137m, three-year agreement to supply wind turbine towers to an unnamed US manufacturer.The towers will be produced in the company’s two factories in Manitowoc in Wisconsin and Abilene in Texas for delivery into 2019.Broadwind president and chief executive officer Stephanie Kushner said: “The market visibility has improved significantly given the certainty of the Production Tax Credit structure, and we are pleased to receive this long-term commitment from our customer.”This agreement extends our backlog through 2019.”Image: a Broadwind tower (Broadwind Energy)
