Enel Green Power Brasil Participações has started the commercial operation of the 30MW Damascena wind farm in Bahia in Brazil.
The company said the wind farm is the second of four plants at the 118MW Serra Azul wind power cluster to come online.
The $220m Serra Azul complex is also composed of the 30MW Maniçoba, 28MW Esperança and 30MW Dois Riachos wind farms, the latter of which is already operating.
The investment is partly financed by loans from the International Finance Corporation, Itaú Unibanco and the Brazilian Development Bank BNDES.
