UK risk management and insurance company Renewable Risk Advisers has joined wave and tidal trade association Ocean Energy Europe as a full corporate member.
RRA has experience of the risks involved in other areas of the renewable energy industry and will bring its experience to ocean energy projects which carry a very specific risk profile.
OEE chief executive Rémi Gruet said: “With the ocean energy industry moving towards commercial projects, it is encouraging to see experts in areas such as insurance and risk management bring their knowledge to the table.
“Effective risk management will be key to the development of the sector, and RRA is already making a valuable contribution in this area. We will look forward to working with them closely in the future.”
