Environmental agency APEM has completed a two-year wildlife study for ScottishPower Renewable’s 800MW East Anglia 1 North and 900MW East Anglia 2 projects.
APEM captured more than 35,000 high resolution aerial images of both project sites, covering an area of some 1000 square kilometres.
The data gathered will inform the marine mammal and ornithological environmental impact assessments for the development of the project, the company said.
APEM project manager Laura Jervis said: “Practices and technologies have moved on incredibly quickly.
“Year-on-year we have been able to deliver higher quality images and therefore more robust data for our clients.”
