EEW SPC has completed the first monopile for Iberdrola’s 476MW Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
The fabricator said the structure weighs 1363 tonnes and has a diameter of nine metres.

The company added that a total of 50 monopiles will be manufactured by August and then coated by November.
It added that the foundations will be float transported to the installation site from spring 2023.
