Danish transmission system operator Energinet has issued a tender for environmental surveys of the up to 1GW Thor offshore wind farm zone off the coast of Denmark.
A consultancy is being sought to carry out a strategic environmental assessment of the plan for Thor, as well as surveys and technical reports on specific environmental and other themes over two years.
“The surveys and technical reports are primarily meant as background reports for an expected later environmental impact assessment of the actual project to be decided at a later stage by the future concession owner,” Energinet said.
Technical reports should address potential impacts during construction, operation and decommissioning phases of the project.
They should also cover potential cumulative and transboundary impacts, proposals for measures to mitigate adverse effects, analysis of data gaps and uncertainties of relevance for the assessments and proposals for monitoring programmes, the company said.
Interested parties have until midday local time on 17 July to apply.
