Flender has named Tommy Rahbek Nielsen (pictured) as president of its Winergy wind business segment, effective 1 September 2025.
Rahbek Nielsen, formerly executive vice president and chief operating officer at Vestas, succeeds Aarnout Kant, who will continue to lead strategic global projects and serve as general manager Americas, reporting directly to the group chief executive.
Flender said Rahbek Nielsen brings extensive international experience in management, supply chain and financial strategy, having played a key role in integrating Vestas’s offshore operations and developing global manufacturing strategies.
“We are glad to now have him on board,” said Flender group chief executive Andreas Evertz. “His extensive expertise in the wind energy sector will be invaluable as we continue to expand our business segment Wind and refine our strategic direction.”
Rahbek Nielsen said: “Together with the global team, we will uphold and extend our market position and continue to be the partner of choice for our customers. A special thanks to my predecessor Aarnout Kant who has set the sails in the right direction and is handing over an excellent business.”
Kant said he was confident Rahbek Nielsen would continue to strengthen the Winergy brand while he focused on strategic wind and global projects for Flender.
