James Fisher Marine Services has completed its second gearbox exchange project at Thornton Bank 2 and 3 offshore wind farm off the Belgium coast.
The work involved using its ship-to-turbine system to significantly improve operational efficiency, safety and productivity, the company said.
The project included the removal and replacement of gearbox oil on Senvion’s 25 6MW turbines and two 5MW machines.
Senvion spokesperson Katrin Rosendahl said: “We’re happy about the successful cooperation with a professional partner such as James Fisher Marine Services.
“If we need services provided by external partners, we always rely on industry experts to ensure the best solution for our clients.”
