Marine Coordination Services has been chosen to supply personnel to support the construction of the 383MW Fryslan nearshore wind farm in the Netherlands.
Marine Coordination Services was picked by Ventolines, which is responsible for the project management of the offshore wind farm during construction and operations.
Ventoline’s role includes supplying a range of support personnel for the construction phase of the project.
The arrangement will include the supply of quality assurance and quality control inspectors, auditors and client representatives.
“We are glad to be able to offer our support to Windpark Fryslan” said Jens Doeksen, Marine Coordination Services, managing owner.
“Our range of operational support services combined with our in-depth local knowledge will enable us to supply valuable support with a regional perspective to this important project,” he added.
Fryslan is being constructed in lake IJsselmeer lake in the Netherlands and comprises of 89 4.3MW Siemens Gamesa turbines.
The windfarm will be fully operational in 2021.
A total of 10 unnamed banks and the province of Fryslan are jointly financing the project, which will be located south of the Afsluitdijk, 6km off the Frisian coast.
The Zuiderzeewind consortium of Siemens Gamesa and Van Oord will build the wind farm.
