Spanish outfit Navantia has completed the first transition piece for ScottishPower Renewables’ 714MW East Anglia 1 wind farm off the English coast.
The company, which is fabricating 42 jackets for the project, said the kit is ready to paint.
Navantia is assembling the jackets at its Fene shipyard in northwestern Spain from this year until late 2018.
The first Siemens 7MW turbines are set to be installed at East Anglia 1 in the summer of 2019.
