Offshore Solutions Group (OSG) has secured £500,000 from Setec to support development of the Moray FLOW-Park, a floating offshore wind wet storage facility in Scotland.
The site, located in the Moray Firth, will provide temporary storage for floating offshore wind assets during assembly, turbine integration and deployment. OSG said the project is on track to be fully permitted for construction in 2027.
Earlier this year, OSG secured seabed exclusivity from Crown Estate Scotland for the development. The company has also been working with Scottish Enterprise and other stakeholders to progress the infrastructure on a timeline aligned with ScotWind and INTOG projects.
OSG chief executive Will Rowley said the investment is a “crucial enabler” for delivering the FLOW-Park, adding that further funding will be sought as site investigations progress later this year.
Setec president Michel Kahan said the company is “delighted” to be involved in a project that will help accelerate floating wind deployment.
Scottish Enterprise director for energy transition Suzanne Sosna said the investment is “another positive step forward” for the project, adding that the agency is working with OSG to ensure infrastructure is in place to support Scotland’s offshore wind sector.
