Offshore Wind Consultants (OWC) has opened a new office in Taiwan support the country’s “fast-growing” offshore wind sector.
OWC Taiwan managing director of the operation Will Cleverly said: “We have secured a number of jobs offshore Taiwan in the past six months.
“To set up a dedicated office here to be as close as possible to our clients and to contribute towards local job and value creation therefore makes perfect sense.”
The consultancy said it had secured contracts to provide engineering, procurement and construction lead and installation manager roles at a site due to come on line in 2021, along with other consultancy work.
Taiwan is aiming for 5.5GW of wind power to be under construction by 2025, the consultancy said.
