Polish developer PGE Baltica is sifting bids for the geotechnical survey works for its Baltica 2&3 offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea.
The company said it has received five applications, including two unnamed consortia that feature domestic companies.
“The entities that applied for the tender are the best specialists in their field. We want to conduct research and start design works for the wind farms as soon as possible,” said Wojciech Dąbrowski, president of the management board of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna.
The procurement procedure was launched in August 2020.
Separately, PGE said the procurement procedure for the performance of a multi-variant feasibility study, construction designs, obtaining a building permit for projects are also underway.
The company is planned the construction of two offshore wind farms with a total capacity of 2.5GW by 2030, and another one with a capacity of 1GW after 2030.
