Adwen has awarded a contract to Reetec for the supply of aviation obstruction markers on its AD 5-135 turbines to be installed on Iberdrola’s 350MW Wikinger offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea.
Reetec will deliver aviation obstruction markers for nacelles and towers on the 70-turbine-project where installation is expected to begin next year.
The dedicated control as well additional components such as visibility control data are also part of the deal.
Offshore wind turbines reaching more than 100 meters must be marked according to aviation guidelines.
“With Reetec we have a competent partner for aviation obstruction markers at our side,” said Adwen chief executive Luis Álvarez.
“We do not only focus on long-standing experience and a high quality standard but also on regional anchoring of our suppliers.”
