Dutch outfit TMA Logistics has been selected by Siemens Gamesa to provide storage and trans-shipment of turbines for the 383MW Fryslan nearshore wind farm at IJsselmeer Lake in the Netherlands.
Work on the 89-turbine project is expected to start in August, according to the Port of Amsterdam.

Siemens Gamesa is carrying out the project in cooperation with Van Oord as part of the Zuiderzeewind consortium.
Van Oord will install the monopile foundations and cables for the project.
The monopiles will most likely also be delivered via the TMA terminal, the port said.
It added that about 100,000 metres squared will be used for the components for the wind farm, as well as 400 metres of quay.
