The final two turbines for Trianel’s 200MW Borkum West 2.2 offshore wind farm have left the Dutch port of Eemshaven for installation in the German North Sea.
Fred Olsen Windcarrier will install the Senvion 6.2MW turbines in the coming days.
Port company Buss Energy Group provided turnkey port logistics from its terminal at the site with corresponding engineering services, and quality and operational safety services for the project.
Pre-assembly of the turbines was carried out by the company’s own personnel and under the supervision of the technical department of the Buss Energy Group.
Trianel project commercial director Klaus Horstick said: “We are pleased that with Buss we found such a competent and reliable partner for a smooth operation.
“We would particularly like to thank the dedicated employees for their support in this challenging large-scale project and for always finding a solution even for difficult issues,” added Irina Lucke Trianel project technical managing director.
