Trianel will shortly begin a delayed turbine installation campaign at its 200MW Borkum West 2.2 wind farm in the German North Sea.
Marine contractor Jan De Nul has deployed jack-up Taillevent to hardware staging port Eemshaven in the Netherlands, according to the developer.
The vessel is due to arrive on Monday night and begin loading Senvion 6.3MW components.
Installation, which had been planned to start in the second quarter, will begin later this month, according to Jan De Nul.
Sister vessel Vole au Vent had initially been lined up to tackle the work. Taillevent has been brought in due to delays caused by Senvion’s financial woes.
Trianel and the turbine manufacturer agreed a new supply contract in May. The original deal had to be adjusted after Senvion entered self-administration, a process which is ongoing.
The majority of components for 32 turbines are at Eemshaven and the remainder are due in the autumn.
The wind farm is expected online later this year.
