Turbine installation has been completed at the 198MW Zhanjiang Wailuo offshore wind farm off the coast of Guangdong province in China.
The project comprises 36 Ming Yang Smart Energy MySE5.5-155 turbines.

Ming Yang said the project is the first equipped with typhoon-resistant hardware over 5MW.
The turbines have been installed on monopile foundations, which are best suited to the geology of medium-weathered rock stratum with sandy soil and clay, the company said.
The project is being developed by Guangdong Energy Group, with the EPC works carried out by Guangdong Electric Design Institute.
