Taylor Hopkinson has been awarded a contract to supply freelance on-site commissioning services to the 500MW Fécamp wind farm off northwest France.
The UK recruitment consultancy will supply electrical safety personnel throughout the commissioning phase including, but not limited to, SAPs, control engineers, SCADA supervisors and WTG commissioning supervisors.
Works are due to commence in December 2021 and will run for two years.
Taylor Hopkinson head of offshore wind contract Neil Brown said: “We have been supporting EDF Renewables’ and its partners offshore wind portfolio in France for over 10 years now so it’s great to be heavily involved in the execution phase of both St Nazaire and Fécamp which will help France achieve its 2030 renewable energy target.”
Taylor Hopkinson account manager Chris Quinn said: “We are delighted to be awarded our 2nd commissioning services contract with EDF Renewables’ and its partners in France having successfully provided commissioning resource on St Nazaire over the last 12 months.
“We are excited to continue our good working relationship with EDF Renewables’ and its partners as the French offshore wind market continues to evolve.”
The wind farm, located in Seine-Maritime in the Normandy, will consist of 71 offshore wind turbines and is set to generate sufficient electricity to fulfil the demands of 770,000 people locally.
The project is being developed by EDF Renewables, EIH S.a.r.l., and WPD Offshore.
