Installation of China General Nuclear Power Corporation’s Yangjiang Nanpeng Island offshore wind farm is back into full swing.
The 401.5MW project comprises 73 MySE5.5 MW turbines, the largest offshore project in China according to MingYang Smart Energy.
Its construction started in mid-2018 with the first batch of turbines entering operation last October.
MingYang Smart Energy said: “Now the project team is working full-speed, despite all the obstacles and challenges brought by this difficult period, creating record-breaking rate of installation, finishing the installation of one turbine in four days.
“We always place strong emphasis on collaboration with partners and we will take every effort to facilitate relevant parties to accomplish the wind project.
“We look forward to the day when all 73 of our MySE5.5MW turbines are powering Guangdong Province”.
