Vestas has secured a flurry of end-year orders in China for three projects totalling over 270MW.
The Danish manufacturer has won an order to supply 200MW of 2MW turbines to developer Hanas for the Fengjigou project in China.
The scope includes a two-year service agreement with turbine delivery and commissioning already underway.
The pair have a long-term relationship that has now seen 1.4GW of contracts between them.
“We are delighted to continue to strengthen our close and long relationship with Hanas by delivering our innovative and proven wind energy solutions,” said Vestas China chief financial officer Thomas Keller.
“This order is a new milestone for our partnership and it underlines how Vestas’ strong technology and customised service solutions continue to secure projects in the world’s largest wind energy market.”
The Danish turbine company has meanwhile won its first order from China State Power Investment Corporation.
Vestas will deliver 4MW units to an unnamed 19MW project in the third quarter of 2019.
A five-year servicing agreement is also included.
“SPIC is at the forefront of the green power transformation in China and globally, which fits very well with Vestas’ strong presence in China and globally,” said Keller.
“Hopefully, this project will be the beginning of a lasting cooperation in the Chinese market.”
Vestas has also signed a five-year recapture service agreement for an unnamed 54MW wind farm with another unnamed customer in China.
