Enel Green Power has started construction of four wind farms in the Zaragoza region of Spain with a combined capacity of 110MW.
The 11-turbine Campoliva 1 plant in Villamayor de Gallego will have a capacity of 36MW, while the 20MW El Campo facility in Mallén y Fréscano will have six turbines.
In Luna and Las Pedrosas, the 30MW Santo Domingo de Luna project will have nine machines installed, with the 24MW Loma Gorda wind farm in Fuendetodos comprising seven units.
Total investment in the projects is about €116m, Enel Green Power said.
The four wind farms will generate about 375 gigawatt-hours of electricity a year in total.
The company now has 10 wind farms under construction in Spain with a total capacity of 328MW, all of which are slated to enter into service towards the end of 2019.
The 10 projects are part of the 540MW that Enel Green Power was awarded in the renewable energy capacity auction held by the Spanish government in May 2017.
