Energiequelle has begun construction of the 15MW Villers-le-Tourneur wind farm in France’s Grand-Est region, close to the Belgian border.
Construction got underway last month as restrictions on construction works due to the bird nesting season ended.
Foundations will be installed beginning in November and the wind farm is scheduled to be commissioned in July 2021.
Five N-117 Nordex turbines, each with a hub height of 91 metres will be installed at the project.
Energiequelle’s French subsidiary P&T Technologie is responsible for construction.
The project was acquired from the pipeline of the Leipzig-based project developer Green Energy 3000, which is supporting the project’s construction.
Including Villers-le-Tourneur P&T in France has construction over 200MW of wind capacity in France and expects to build 73MW in the next two years.
In total Energiequelle has built more than 750 turbines with an output of over 1400MW.
