Utility developer Eon has unveiled plans for the 79MW Golticlay wind farm in the far north of Scotland.
The company will hold exhibitions this month in support of the 22-turbine plan, which is part of its tie up with Forestry Commission Scotland.
The wind farm is planned for an area 15km southwest of Wick in Caithness and is based on hardware of up to 3.6MW.
Project developer Vicki Harrison said: “These sessions are being held to update the local community about our plans while giving them the opportunity to share their views, ask questions and comment on our proposed turbine layout for the site.
“We’d like to invite as many people as possible to come along to the public exhibitions at Lybster Community Centre when we’ll be happy to discuss our proposals and outline how the wind farm will look.”
Golticlay is part of a large portfolio of projects being developer by Eon on the national forest estate in the Highlands and west of Scotland.
