German renewables company VSB Group has acquired a 300MW portfolio of wind farms in Poland.
The Partners Group-backed player said the sites are located in the Wielkopolska Voivodeship and are at different stages of development
All parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price and planning details. The project names and vendor were also not revealed.
VSB Holding managing director Marko Lieske said the company is “accelerating” its work in the country as it has “enormous potential” for growth.
“This acquisition further adds to our strong pipeline of renewables projects in Poland. We look forward to working with the local communities and our partners to delivering these projects and support the energy transition in Poland,” added Hubert Kowalski, managing director of VSB Energie Odnawialne Polska.
VSB has operated in Wrocław since 2008, having already commissioned around 76MW in Poland, and manages over 300MW of wind assets.
These include the Taczalin wind farm, which supplies 45.1MW of green electricity to the Mercedes-Benz plant in Jawor.
