Galetech Energy Services has been appointed owner’s engineer for Innogy’s 10.2MW Dromadda Beg wind farm in County Kerry, south-west Ireland.
The Cavan-based outfit is the latest name to come on board for the developer’s first foray into the Irish onshore market.
Galetech director Paul Carney said: “We are delighted with Innogy’s decision to appoint us as their owner’s engineer for the construction phase of the Dromadda Beg project.
“We will be managing the project from our branch office based in Cork and we very much look forward to working with the full Innogy Renewables team.”
Innogy last week announced a deal with Siemens Gamesa for the supply and installation of three SWT 3.4-101 turbines on 94-metre towers at the site, with work set to start next summer.
