Authorities in Ireland are investigating the death of a man at the 32MW Derrysallagh wind farm in Ireland.
The man in his 30s died on Monday while working at the in-construction project. A peat slide was reported in the area at Ballyfarnon on the Sligo and Roscommon border.
The country’s Health and Safety Authority (HSA) and police, An Garda Siochana, have begun separate investigations.
A HSA spokesman confirmed an investigation is underway. “It appears the victim was trapped in a trench collapse that occurred around 7pm yesterday,” he said.
A Garda spokesman said the man’s body was taken to Sligo General Hospital.
