John Laing Environmental Assets Group has taken control of the 24MW Llynfi Afan wind farm from John Laing Group for £43m in cash.
The project, which is located in the Afan Valley at Abergwynfi, comprises 12 Siemens Gamesa 2MW G80 turbines.
It is accredited for 0.9 Renewables Obligation Certificates and has been operational since March 2017.
The acquisition was funded by a draw-down under the company’s £130m revolving credit facility and from internal cash resources.
It brings the total capacity of renewables projects in the John Laing Environmental Assets Group portfolio to 254.2MW.
