Infrastructure investor John Laing has acquired the under-construction 24MW Llynfi Afan wind farm in South Wales from Gamesa.
The 12-turbine project features G80 2MW turbines and is due to be completed by the end of the year.
The deal was first reported earlier this month in subscription-only newsletter reNEWS.
Balance of plant contractor NRS Group is conducting civil works for the Valleys site near the villages of Croeserw, Blaengarw and Blaengwynfi.
The company’s works include the construction of a 33/66KV substation. Electrical works will be delivered by HV Power Solutions, which is part of NRS Group.
John Laing has meanwhile transferred ownership of its 26MW Dungavel in South Lanarkshire to John Laing Environment Assets Group.
The £38.2m project has been operational since October 2015 and features 13 Vestas V80 turbines.
