K2 Management has been selected to support new client Akuo Enegy with a 50MW wind project in Uruguay.
The consulting company is tackling quality inspections for the French developer, which is building a total of 140MW across three projects in the South American country.
The Florida 2 wind farm will feature 15 Vestas V117-3.3MW machines and K2 has been “providing support on quality with the completion of main component inspections as the Vestas factory in Denmark”.
The company has also been commissioned by turbine manufacturer Envision Energy to provide support on a project in Sweden.
“Our engineering group will perform review of geotechnical site conditions, proposed foundation designs, quality assurance procedures for both infrastructure and construction,” said K2.
