Smartec Scientific Corp has taken delivery of a Zephir 300 lidar for use Taiwan’s wind energy market.
The lidar will be used for profiling wind conditions remotely up to 200 metres without the need of a met mast.
Smartec added that the delivery builds on introductory workshops on lidar that it organised at the start of June.
Smartec is to provide Zephir Lidar technical and support services in Taiwan.
Zephir Lidar senior sales manager Matt Smith said: “The wind industry in Taiwan is amidst a growth phase and it is fantastic that the Taiwanese developers are increasingly adopting Zephir for taking wind measurements.”
