Nordex Group booked turbine orders totalling 1700MW in the third quarter of 2019, up from 974MW in the same period last year.
The German company sealed contracts to supply 436 machines for projects in 14 countries.
Europe accounted for 60% of the orders from July to September, the US 28% and Latin America 12%.
Nordex said hardware from its Delta4000 platform made up almost half of the sales volume (49%) in the third quarter.
Overall, order intake, excluding the services business, in the first nine months of 2019 rose to 4.7GW, compared with 3.1GW in 2018.
Nordex chief sales officer Patxi Landa said: “We continue to see strong demand for our wind turbine systems in Europe and overseas, with the new Delta4000 series recording particularly great interest.”
The company said that in addition to the projects already announced separately, it had received orders for wind farms in Sweden, US, Brazil, Mexico and the UK in September.
