Nordex has received an order from VSB Group to supply turbines for a 42MW wind project in Poland.
The order consists of 11 3MW turbines for a wind cluster and Nordex will service the machines for a period of 20 years.
The turbine type and the project name are undisclosed as per customer request.
Nordex will supply and install the turbines in autumn 2022, with commissioning planned for the end of that same year.
“Following projects in Germany and Finland, we are now also pleased to equip Polish wind farms of the VSB Group with our turbine technology and thus contribute to accelerating the energy transition in Poland,” said Nordex chief sales officer Patxi Landa.
To date, Nordex has sold turbines for projects over 700 MW in Poland, of which more than 240MW are currently under construction.
VSB Energie Odnawialne Polska managing director Hubert Kowalski said: “It was a pleasure to work with Nordex on this important milestone for our first 100% own developed Polish project.
“We are looking forward to the start of construction work and the turbine delivery next year.”
VSB, headquartered in Dresden, is a full-service provider in the field of renewable energy.
Its core business is national and international project development for wind farms and photovoltaic parks, their operational management and maintenance as well as the operation of its own parks.
