Buccleuch and 2020 Renewables have submitted a plan to the Scottish government to develop a 35-turbine wind farm in the Lowther Hills.
The North Lowther Energy Initiative would erect turbines east of Sanquhar and north west of Wanlockhead in Scotland.
The project would create seven local and 33 regional jobs, if approved.
Feedback from the public had been used by the developers to enhance the design of the wind farm.
