Ovo Energy has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Eneco for output from the Crystal Rig 1 wind farm in Scotland.
The deal marks the second renewables PPA Ovo Energy has signed, following its first in April 2021 with Orsted, for output from the Barrow offshore wind farm.

The entire Crystal Rig site is the second largest wind farm in the UK.
It comprises the 62.5MW Crystal Rig 1, which is the wind farm Ovo is buying power from, and Crystal Rig 2, built 2010.
Crystal Rig 1, which has 25 turbines, is located on the Lammermuir Hills in the Scottish Borders region of Scotland and was built in May 2004.
Crystal Rig 1 is owned by Fred Olsen Renewables, while Eneco manages the sale of power from the farm.
