RES has secured consent for the six-turbine Magheramore wind farm near Dungiven, following a successful planning appeal heard in April 2025.
The Planning Appeal Commission approved the project three months after the hearing.

“Magheramore has been carefully designed to fit sensitively into the existing landscape and we warmly welcome the decision today, which unlocks much needed investment in the local economy,” said RES project manager Jennifer McCorry.
The company said construction of the wind farm could deliver a £1.6–£2m boost to the surrounding area.
RES has been active in Northern Ireland’s renewables sector since the early 1990s and continues to operate from its Larne office.
