RWE has contracted Spanish company GES to build the over 43MW Rea Unificado wind farm in Soria in Spain.
The 43.2MW project will comprise nine 4.8MW turbines.
GES has already started the engineering tasks, and civil works will start this month and will last for seven months.
The plant is expected to start operating in December.
GES is responsible for the engineering and construction works of the project, for which it is also in charge of the complete balance of plant.
It is also in charge of both the civil works, with more than 11.5km of roads and the nine foundations and platforms for the turbines, as well as the medium voltage network (18/30kV) and a series of adaptations at the Trevago substation.
The wind farm is located in the municipalities of Trevago, Valdelagua del Cerro, Fuentrestrun and Castilruiz.
