Vestas is offering assistance to the owner of a V52-850kW turbine in Denmark to help find out what caused the hardware to catch fire on 1 January.
The vintage turbine is located close to the city of Sorvad in Central Jutland, a Vestas spokesman said.

“The site has been secured and the fire has been fully extinguished without any personal or animal injuries recorded,” he said.
“Vestas is at the site and has offered our assistance to the owner on conducting a root cause investigation,” the spokesman said.
“Until further findings are available, we cannot comment or speculate on the root cause,” he added.
Danish regional television station TV Midtvest broadcast images of the fire.
