Danish transmission system operator Energinet and the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) have opened market dialogue to gain increased knowledge about future needs for hydrogen infrastructure in Denmark.
Energinet said the market dialogue is the first initiative to gain insight into the demand for hydrogen infrastructure in Denmark.
It includes actors’ interest in capacity and geographical location of infrastructure as well as the need for flexibility and storage.
“We expect that the results from the market dialogue will be used as input to the Danish Energy Agency’s work with national strategies,” Energinet and DEA said.
The results will also be used in Energinet’s work with the long-term planning of both electricity and gas infrastructure.
All market participants involved in power-to-X and hydrogen activities are encouraged to participate, they added.
The dialogue is open until 31 August this year.
