Galetech Group will invest £3m in the UK over the next five years to expand its renewable energy operations.
The Irish renewable energy development and services provider said the investment will support plans to create up to 30 highly skilled roles by 2030.
The company added that the expansion will scale its delivery capacity across the UK renewables value chain.
Galetech Group said it will provide services spanning early development and consenting through construction assurance, operational performance optimisation, repowering and decommissioning.
The strategy is aligned with the UK government’s Clean Power 2030 Action Plan and will focus on renewable energy infrastructure and solar and battery energy storage systems.
Galetech Group already operates in the UK through its investment in Northampton-based Adamas Wind, which provides monitoring and maintenance services for more than 1GW of green energy projects.
The expansion will target regions including Scotland, the northeast and the southwest of England.
“Galetech Group is delighted to announce a £3 million investment as part of our continued expansion in the UK’s renewable energy value chain,” said Darren Sherry, chief executive of Galetech Group (pictured).
“This investment is very timely as the UK’s connections reform programme is re-ordering and accelerating the grid queue.”
