Vestas head of public affairs for North and Central Europe Johannes Schiel has been elected to the board of directors of the German Wind Energy Association BWE.
The Danish company said Schiel (pictured) will represent manufacturers on the board.

One of his aims will be to try and solve permitting issues in Germany, Vestas added.
The BWE has about 20,000 members.
